Crafted from durable, waterproof Biothane, these collars mimic the look and feel of leather—without harming animals or absorbing odors and grime. Biothane is ultra-strong, easy to clean, and built to withstand whatever your pet gets into, whether it’s a muddy hike or a rainy day at the park.
What truly sets these collars apart is the breakaway buckle, engineered to release under dangerous pressure—giving your pet a chance to escape if the collar becomes snagged. It’s a feature every pet parent should consider, whether your companion is a tree-climbing cat or a rough-and-tumble dog.

We recommend that a break-away collar sits a little looser on the neck than a regular collar to prevent your dog's natural movement from opening the break-away buckle.
Breakaway buckles are Black
Please keep in mind that these collars are designed to come off when pressure is applied to them. This means it is more possible for collars to become lost. Always check that your dog has its collar before leaving a location like a park to be sure it didn't come off. You may need to keep it a bit looser than your regular collar to make sure the natural movement of your dog doesn't release the buckle. See the infographic in the listing photos to see how to use a hook & loop strap to strengthen the break strength of the buckle while still allowing it to break away. We are a small business, please don't leave a bad review because the collar breaks away, that is what it's designed to do.
Small dogs- for dogs with smaller neck sizes, the amount of hardware needed can make the collar a bit stiff. We do accommodate by only putting 1 screw on each end of the break-away buckle instead of 2, and sometimes leaving the strap keeper off. We do this for necks 11 inches and less. That being said, it can still be a bit stiff on the dog, just something to keep in mind. If your dog is a pullers and you would like us to put 2 screws instead of 1 regardless of neck size, just let me know!
Since all of our collars, leashes and harnesses are made-to-order, we do not accept returns or exchanges, so please make sure you measure your pet's size accurately, when finalizing your order.
