Species Specific Stewardship Sheets
Product Description
Responsible exotic pet ownership begins long before you bring an animal home.
These Species Specific Care & Husbandry Guides were created to remove the guesswork and misinformation that so often surrounds reptiles, arachnids, and other legal exotic species.
I take the hours, days, weeks, and even months of research and distill it into one clear, accurate, species specific guide designed to help you care for your animal appropriately.
This began as a passion project and became a way for me to help others steward their animals well.
These guides are not generic. They are written for specific species, because animal care is not “one size fits all”. For example, two different tarantulas can require almost opposite conditions. So assuming they are interchangeable can put animals in danger.
If a name has been already chosen for your animal, it will be displayed prominently on the sheet as shown in the example. If you prefer just the species information, no name will be added.
These guides are created for legal exotic species including but not limited to:
Reptiles
• Snakes
• Geckos
• Monitors
• Skinks
• Iguanas
• Chameleons
• Turtles
• Tortoises
Arachnids
• Tarantulas
• True spiders
• Scorpions
Invertebrates
• Mantids
• Stick insects
• Beetles
• Millipedes
• Isopods
• Roaches
• Centipedes
Amphibians
• Frogs
• Toads
• Salamanders
• Newts
If a species is not currently available, it can be created for any legal exotic animal. These are not designed for domestic pets such as cats or dogs.
Please do not duplicate, redistribute, or copy my work. Aside from being unethical, improper copying can result in inaccurate care being applied to the wrong species. Even animals within the same genus may require dramatically different environments. Misapplied information can cause real harm.
Each guide is available in:
• PDF download
• Laminated print
• Framed display option
Designed to be both practical and visually clean, these sheets are ideal for personal reference, reptile rooms, breeding spaces, expos, or educational environments.
These guides are designed for keepers who want clarity and confidence in how they care for their animals.
Let’s do this well!

About Me:
My love for animals started young. Passion might be too small of a word, it was closer to an obsession. I was the kid who stopped to watch every lizard, every bird, every earthworm, every spider, every stray cat. I always wanted to understand them, not just admire them.
That love grew into advocacy. I became vegan as part of that conviction. I volunteered at shelters. I foster animals in need. I have donated to rescues around the world and continue to support causes that protect and care for vulnerable species. I even created an apparel line that donates 25% of proceeds to different causes every quarter, several are animal focused causes.
Professionally, I have worked as a dog walker and a bird trainer and keeper at the world famous San Francisco Zoo. I am also a certified pet nutrition coach. Every role has deepened my understanding of animal behavior, diet, enrichment, and long term care.
My experience with exotic species in my personal life began in high school (30+ years ago) when I brought home my beloved iguana, Iliza. She was my pride and joy, I loved her SO much! Caring for her opened the door to a whole new world of learning about habitat, lighting, humidity, diet, and species specific needs. That responsibility helped shape my passion for caring for animals beyond cats and dogs.
Since then, in addition to cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens/other birds, fish, and horses, I have responsibly cared for a wide variety of lizards and snakes. My exotic family continues to grow each year as I expand my knowledge and experience. Our family currently includes one Mexican black king snake (my teen daughters), one pink toe tarantula, one ball python (also my teen daughters), one jumping spider, one crested gecko, and one leopard gecko. We also have a couple more joining us in the coming months as we carefully prepare and establish their habitats in advance.
Travel has played a huge role in how I approach care. I have traveled the world to observe animals in their natural habitats, so that I can better replicate those environments in captivity. From Madagascar, Gabon, and Borneo to Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Australia. More than fifty countries in total, many of them multiple times. I do not take that privilege lightly and I thank God for those opportunities often.
I genuinely love all animals and I am committed to learning how to care for them properly. That commitment is what led me to create species specific care guides. They are built from research, experience, and a desire to help others steward their animals well.
Thanks for being here! 🙂
